Dead Witch Walking

Dead Witch Walking is the first book in The Hollows series by Kim Harrison. Kim has created a world where the population has been devastated and nearly wiped out by a virus. The only people who aren’t affected by the virus are the witches, vampires, pixies, etc. also know as the inderlanders.

The story follows Rachel Morgan, a witch who quits her job as an inderlander agent and decides to start her own bounty hunting agency. She purposely botches a take-in on a criminal so she will get fired, without owing what’s left of her contract. Two other agents leave too so her boss is furious with her and isn’t satisfied with merely firing her, he puts a hit on her.

Rachel then struggles with assassins on her tail, a drug-lord she needs to take down, and everything else that could possibly go wrong for the dead witch walking. Dive in to this book for a captivating read!

All the creatures of the night gather in “the Hollows” of Cincinnati, to hide, to prowl, to party . . . and to feed.
